5th & 6th capacity show at the Attic. Always a pleasure playing for the kind folks of Decatur.

Mapping out the set list in Birmingham. I make it a point to change the order/songs I play every night.  Its stressful because I never want to go over my time, but I guess I sort of like the chaos of having to reinvent what I do on stage all the time.

Can't really remembering what was going on here, but it almost certainly was followed by an inappropriate quote.

Nashville > Knoxville > Indianapolis > Chicago > Ann Arbor

Just before walking on stage in Nashville at the City Winery. Hence the glass of wine. Tryn'a keep it classy.

Sold out in Nashville. Been home to me for the past four years, and I've always struggled to want to play there.  I could just be over-thinking it (I tend to do that) but it can be such a hyper critical environment. I'm not a competitive guy, just like to sing songs for people; so playing in Music City has been a real challenge.  All that to say the vibes that night were pristine, so thanks to all who came and listened.

Elevator ride with bae. Pre-Knoxville show (sold out at Square Room) one of my favorite rooms I ever did sing in.

I've never reached a point in my "career" where I really felt as tired as I did this week. We did 6 shows in a row (nothing compared to what the guys have already done this year) and it really did hit this weird monotony that I haven't experienced touring. Don't get me wrong, singing for crowds like this one ^^^ will never "get old" or not be a tremendous honor. Just learning how to still be a real person while waking up every day, driving 4 hours, singing a few songs, going to sleep, and doing it all over the next day.

Ames, IA on campus. There's a bar and a pool hall on campus, but also beautiful stained glass windows and a real sense for the deep stuff. Thanks for giving place to both.

I listen to "Holding Your Absence" by Hammock right before walking up on stage every night. In Oklahoma City I really needed it. And really missed him.

Dallas, TX. All iPhone pics from here cause Kemp had to go tour with metal bands. The Kessler has the most bad-ass mural I've ever seen, and these are most bad-ass ladies I know. Sarah and Becca (Andy & Kyle's wives respectively) have been tour managing, and absolutely slaying the open road for two years. Love them a lot.

This very normal looking picture of the highway is significant because it was the first blue sky I saw after the flooding in Houston. We had a show there the night of, and I actually parked my car in a real inconvenient spot and flooded the inside of it. Was a hell of a monday, but I suppose it made me enjoy the pretty day in Baton Rouge a lot more.

Entirely too few dog pictures on this tour. Look at this ugly guy. He just wants love.
